British AI professional day, Budapest
Stroke remains a major healthcare challenge in Hungary, which makes innovation and international cooperation more important than ever. At the event we also heard that Hungary is a global leader in this field: it was the first country in the world to deploy the only AI-powered stroke diagnostic platform across its entire network of stroke centres.
It is an excellent example of British–Hungarian partnership in practice: Brainomix, born at the University of Oxford, combines British innovation with Hungarian clinical expertise, helping to save lives. The company's e-Stroke platform analyses CT and MRI scans in less than two minutes, helping physicians make treatment decisions faster. The technology also reduces the time it takes to transfer patients to specialist care centres by 64 minutes.
